Elective Department
The Elective Department at St. Benedict School serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade, enriching their educational experience through engaging and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. Our elective programs in Music, Spanish, and Computer Studies provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, discover new talents, and develop skills that support academic and personal growth.
The Music program fosters creativity, self-expression, and an appreciation for the arts through age-appropriate instruction and performance opportunities. Spanish classes help students build language proficiency and cultural awareness, encouraging confident communication and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Through Computer Studies, students develop essential technology skills, digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, and responsible digital citizenship that prepare them for success in an ever-evolving technological landscape
From TK through 8th Grade, these elective courses complement the core curriculum by promoting creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Together, they help cultivate well-rounded learners who are prepared to succeed academically while growing as faith-filled, responsible, and confident members of their community.
